Sitting directly north of downtown is River North, more commonly referred to as RiNo. What started as an industrial hub in a historic neighborhood quickly transformed into one of the most prominent art districts in Denver today. As industries and foundries moved out of the buildings and warehouses of RiNo in the late 80’s and 90’s, creatives and artists began moving in. Two local artists in particular joined together in 2005 to build a community for the creatives that lived in the area, giving them a place to expand their networks and in the process, producing the River North Art District. Walk through the streets to find awe-inspiring murals on the building walls or visit the boutiques, galleries and trendy restaurants that give RiNo its eclectic vibe. As one of Denver’s fastest growing communities, you can’t help but feel the history and potential of his bold, funky pocket of Denver!
